Israel’s Hope: God’s Process of
Fulfilling Bible Prophecy
The LORD God watches over Israel. He has declared His purpose and intent, and will continue to cause world events to occur to fulfill His plans. Our role is to gain knowledge and understanding to respond appropriately as God “reveals deep and secret things.” For, the “Surveyor’s line” is being stretched over Jerusalem…
"Blessed be the name of God forever and ever,
For wisdom and might are His.
And He changes the times and the seasons;
He removes kings and raises up kings;
He gives wisdom to the wise
And knowledge to those who have understanding.
He reveals deep and secret things;
He knows what is in the darkness,
And light dwells with Him.
(Daniel 2:20-22)
Let God’s word speak to your heart…
"I am zealous for Jerusalem
And for Zion with great zeal.
I am exceedingly angry with the nations at ease;
For I was a little angry,
And they helped -- but with evil intent."
'Therefore thus says the LORD:
"I am returning to Jerusalem with mercy;
My house shall be built in it," says the LORD of hosts,
"And a surveyor's line shall be stretched out over Jerusalem."'
"Again proclaim, saying, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts:
"My cities shall again spread out through prosperity;
The LORD will again comfort Zion,
And will again choose Jerusalem."'"
(Zechariah 1:14-17)
God allows social and international events to occur to work out His plan of “the restoration of all things.” It is, therefore, important to discern what God is doing and how His Spirit is moving, for “a wise man's heart discerns both time and judgment, Because for every matter there is a time and judgment…” (Ecclesiastes 8:5-6)
