Part 8 — Why Shall Many Not Know God's Truth?
by Harvey L. Diamond
There was one key reason the children of Israel were blinded to the Lord who came in the flesh. The same factor will continue to blind those who cannot see. For, it began with Adam and Eve. The reason? Believing the lie of God's enemy--the devil.
Hear the heart of God speaking in contempt of trusting in such falsehoods.
For we have made lies our refuge,
And under falsehood we have hidden ourselves.
(Isaiah 28:15)
Christ came, though, to reveal the truth! For, He is the truth. He came to reveal the foundation of God's sanctuary in earth as it is in heaven! He came to demolish false security systems, and provide a real way to be secure upon the firm and lasting foundation of His saving grace.
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD:
"Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation,
A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation;
Whoever believes will not act hastily.
Also I will make justice the measuring line,
And righteousness the plummet;
The hail will sweep away the refuge of lies,
And the waters will overflow the hiding place.
(Isaiah 28:16-17)
Truly, those who believe will not act hastily--or in a frantic, fretful way. For, they will have peace--His peace.
For, His righteousness and justice is the standard. It establishes a moral order, and acts as moral compass. It establishes the order of wisdom, for it is the foundation of wisdom. To those who believe, trust, and yield to the discipline of the Spirit, He is the way.
Truly, Christ came as the permanent tabernacle. As Hebrews 9:11 declares: "But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation."
Can we hear Him speak to our heart? For, His salvation is at hand.
"Listen to Me, you stubborn-hearted,
Who are far from righteousness:
I bring My righteousness near, it shall not be far off;
My salvation shall not linger.
And I will place salvation in Zion,
For Israel My glory."
(Isaiah 46:12-13)
How is God's glory revealed? By His Spirit: the Holy Spirit.
